Walnut houmous recipe

Ingredients
1 x 400g can chickpeas, drained and rinsed
juice of 1½ lemons
3 cloves garlic, peeled and roughly chopped
½tsp ground cumin
50g (2oz) walnuts
200ml (7fl oz) tahini
4-5tbsp extra virgin olive oil
large pinch salt

Place the chickpeas, lemon juice, garlic, cumin and walnuts into a food processor and blitz for a few seconds to break everything up. Add the tahini and olive oil and blend to a creamy texture - add water or more olive oil to reach the consistency you prefer. Season with salt. Serve with warmed pitta bread.
