Soy glazed steak with cabbage recipe

Ingredients
1tbsp vegetable oil
1 onion, thickly sliced
1 carrot, sliced into thin ribbons
2 garlic cloves, thinly sliced
1 small Savoy cabbage, cored and thinly shredded
3tbsp sweet chilli sauce
splash sesame oil
4 steaks
For the soy glaze
1½tbsp soy sauce
1 garlic clove, grated
100g fresh ginger sliced
1tbsp honey

Heat the oil in a wok until hot. Add the onion, carrot and garlic and stir-fry for 5 minutes. Add the cabbage and 2 tbsp water, then cook for 2-3 minutes. Add the sweet chilli sauce and sesame oil and stir-fry for 1 minute more. Meanwhile, heat a heavy-based frying pan or a griddle pan over a high heat. Combine the glaze ingredients and brush over the steaks until well coated. Sizzle the steaks for 2 minutes on each side, until cooked through but still pink in the middle, or until done to your liking. Remove the meat from the pan and leave to rest on a warm plate for 2 minutes. Thinly slice the steaks and serve with the stir-fried vegetables.
