Waffles with a berry compote, cinnamon, yogurt and nuts recipe

Ingredients
350g pack frozen berries
1 lemon, juiced
2tbsp golden caster sugar
2tbsp mixed nuts, roughly chopped
8 Belgian waffles
8tbsp Greek-style yogurt
cinnamon, to serve

Put the fruits, lemon juice and sugar in a small pan and cook for 5 minutes, over a medium high heat, stirring, until the fruits become juicy. Meanwhile, place a small dry frying pan over a high heat. When hot add the nuts and toast for a minute, stirring, until just browning. Toast the waffles, if you like, then arrange on plates. Spoon over the compote, top each serving with 2 tbsp of yogurt, scatter on the nuts and sprinkle over cinnamon.
